Was looking into this company does anyone have any knowledge of working for them in the past or currently employed. Are they a decent company to start out driving for. Anyone who has anything good or bad to say any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you referring to their T680's with APUs, or Driscoll's Lonestars, or the T880's on the Bulk side? Maybe it's their trailers that is more than 21 years old. It's possible their trailers are that old.

When I pulled tankers the trucks were new but the trailers were old. I remember one that was manufactured in 1968. Nothing wrong with that; they still work just as good as a new one.

They may still be using those same trailers but as you said, there is nothing wrong with that. I'm sorry, it gripes me when folks fail to understand Wiley has some new tractors. Are there still some older T600s/T800s in the fleet? You betcha, but trying to put a blanket statement on it is simply wrong.

I don't drive for them, never have but their HQ is less than 20 miles from my home. Because it is so close, I see their trucks all of the time and know a few of their drivers. One has been with them 30 years, another recently left them after 20 years. Does longevity mean they are a good company? No. It means the company is a good fit for SOME drivers. I've thought hard about going to Wiley's Bulk division but several things combined to make it not worth it to me. I would take a substantial cut in pay (rate per mile, there is no accessorial pay to offset the difference, ie, paid to load/unload/washout. You get a few bucks when you tarp the flatbeds, but not enough to make it worth it), all of their trucks in the Bulk division are baby sleepers (100%, even the new T880's are the small bunks), and I would give up 10 years seniority, 3 weeks vacations, etc where I currently work, just to do something new and different and be close to home.
