It's all true and this is supposed to be a forum to help people. Not an attorney or with the law. Learning and asking. The driver was under a brand for unigroup but did a mayflower job The way I see it, this kind of guy does no favors to the people who are professional and the person above was right, a spoiled apple ruins the whole bunch. My uncle drove a truck for years and it was hard work he was good at it.

Thank you for this. It is really helpful. Had no idea about the asking for medication. There was a police reported filed the day it happened. Does the drive have to check in with the destination agent? What if they don't? You'd think that the technology is advance enough to have this be monitored and that the guys a driver uses would be screened/bonded.

There are some really good drivers, but yes would agree that this is the reason why the industry has a certain reputation.

Thanks. yeah, he did cross county and had a formal brand business card. Clearly got his own guys as he didn't check in with the destination agent.

How do you stop drivers like this that make the good guys job harder? Have to get the bad one's off the street and educate the public on what to look for, most homeowners don't know that the drive should be in uniform and the helpers should be in uniform, then the consumer could report that there were no uniforms. the homeowners don't know they are not supposed to be asked for pain meds or asked personal questions so tips like this for homeowners help the profession....weed out the bad apples. Are drivers allowed to bring their kids into homeowners houses or on jobs? Is a driver allowed to leave and go to the doctor in the middle of a job and return on meds?

Drug testing at random or on supervisor suspicion, post incident/accident etc would be it.

Your other questions were left alone because there is very little I know as fact while there is a potential for confusion on the rest of the questions. It will benefit you to research and learn what is changed regarding medication these days. Good luck.

As @REO6205 said, contact Mayflower or Unigroup directly for these specific questions.

Ive been fighting other fleets when they hire crap.

I will suggest something, do some research on the company itself, send a letter (not an email) to the upper managment of the company and ask those questions, they have a brand to protect.

    d281833 Thanks this.
