Hi guys. Working on new authority. The insurance companies say that you guys require reefer breakdown insurance? Is that true?

On a side note. If you run the reefer at the wrong temp, its not covered under that policy. It will be driver negligence and you'll be responsible for the claim out of pockets.Papacranberry Thanks this. -
Might also add that if the reefer breaks down you are required to go to the nearest dealer, even if it means backtracking.
Also required to use after hours callout, not waiting until they open up.
Either one will void any insurance coverage. -
Thank you.

Some insurance companies do pay for human error some do not. I have had one of each.
Premium will reflect. -
I really appreciate you guys help. I’ve got everyone from insurance companies to dispatch services, factoring companies trying to tell me what freight brokers require.
I love driving trucks and delivering freight. -
The only one of those that matters is insurance, the other is the feds, don’t get scammed by dispatches or factoring companies
