My question is about walking floor trailers. What different types of freight may you haul utilizing these trailers? I have 5 of them with a capacity to haul 120 yard loads. The trailers measure 48x120x90. Any input from anyone familiar with this type of equipment is appreciated.

I read that they are used for refuse hauling. I.e. Cleanup jobs after Super Sandy and other natural disasters. Hope this helps.

Split wood, bales of hay, bales of cotton. Pretty much any commodity that doesnt mind some exterior damage. The walking floor has teeth that will damage cardboard.

That is slick! It's cool how he/she stands the bales up and reloads them

that is not a walking floor trailer, totally different, any commodity will pretty much go on a walking floor cause you can walk it forward and then walk it out,pallets,bags,etc.. plus bulk products too,the floor slides and doesnt have teeth on the floor

Yes exactly. Our trailers just have an open top that gets covered with a tarp.

Theyre a very versitile trailer. Can be used for bulk, clean ups after disasters, refuse, van freight. One of the best things is if you have a forklift but not a dock you and unload a full trailer or load a full trailer from the ground. Id buy one if i could afford one and they werent so #### heavy but thats how the ball bounces.

A WALKING FLOOR equipped trailer is can be very diverse piece of equipment it is capable of unloading just about any type of "Bulk" material and in many cases pallets can also be transported with the capability of loaded or unloaded. A WALKING FLOOR system does not come equipped with "Teeth", moving floor slats are generally smooth unless put into special application.

WALKING FLOOR equipped trailers are used in almost all industries, primary applications would be:
"Waste" industry for hauling waste from the city transfer stations to the landfill.
"Agriculture" industry: Transporting everything from feed for chickens to fertilizer you would put on the field.

Drug a walkin floor for a couple years. They can be used for a wide array of things. We hauled corn to feed mills (just hang a tarp in front of trailer and let it lie 4 or 5 feet on floor, or else you will have about 4 inches of corn to scoop out the entire length of trailer). We would usually bounce and pick up a load of gluten for cattle feedyards. Also hauled wood chips for chicken and turkey barns. Hope this helps.
