Ok so things are moving along pretty well w/Armellini and I should be on the road with my trainers sometime in the beginning of August so here's my rather off the wall question. Do truck stops provide you with a washcloth & towel or are you on your own. And if they do would I still want to bring my own (lol)?!?!?
Question about truck stop showers?!?!

Bring your own, use theirs for the floor

They provide you with a paper mat for the floor, a towel, and a "wash cloth". Do with that what you will. But keep in mind, you don't want to be hanging wet towels in a trainer's truck. I use the truck stop towels and wash cloth if it looks ok for decades and have suffered no ill effects. Though rarely you may run across a towel or wash cloth you won't want to use. Truck stops have too much to compete with to be providing nasty towels and shower experiences.
I'd rather deal with a questionable towel on occasion rather then wet towels getting mold and mildew on an ongoing basis and keeping the inside of the truck "damp".Wanderingaimlessly, gearjammer1978 and DocWatson Thank this. -
I've yet to come across any nasty towels, so I always use theirs even though I've got my own (for when I'm at a terminal). But I only shower at Pilot/Flying J. Can't speak for the others.

I have my own, but the majority of the time we use their's. I use a "puff" and use a corner of a towel to "dry" it. (two of the companies he worked for had showers at their terminals)
If the towels are nasty, I'm not going to use the shower anyway.
Do NOT forget your shower shoes aka cheap flip flops.gearjammer1978 Thanks this. -

Some showers are alot nicer than others.gearjammer1978 Thanks this. -
some of the truck stops have nice showers these days and a lot are slowly getting remodeled like someone said they compete for business. There are some places out there where you will even find tv's and radios and stuff in the showers, so far I have not dealt with nasty towels or showers except at the terminals where they dont keep them up at all.
gearjammer1978 and DocWatson Thank this.
