Okay all you California CDL holders....
I just got my permanent California CDL in the mail. I had taken all available endorsement exams so I would have everything within reason to be as marketable as possible. I even got my bus license and took the Passenger written test just to have it. I have Class A (A, B & C) as well as M1 (motorcycle), and HazMat, Doubles/Triples, Tankers and as I said, Passenger. So, my license reads as follows:
CALIFORNIA COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSE
CLASS: A M1
ENDORS: TPX
Now, it's my understanding that "T" is for Doubles/Triples, "P" is for Passenger. When I looked up the "X" online, it says it's for Tankers hauling Hazardous Materials. I assume that means the "X" indicates that person has both their HazMat and Tanker endorsements, which is not really the same as a Tanker hauling HazMat. It's just the way it's worded makes me wonder if they got my license correct with all my endorsements....
So, does that sound right to everyone? Even though I have 4 endorsements, there are only those three letters, TPX?
Thanks!

The Haz-Mat is one and the tanker is the other. But what happened to the motorcycle? I'd be ballistic if they forgot to put that n my license! How would I get to work!

I'm going from memory, but, non-haz tanker is "N" if I remember correctly. Haz in a Van VS. Haz in a tanker are two different situations. "TX", tanker Haz, "X", van haz, Does "tanker Haz" automatically qualify you for "Van Haz"? Don't bet your paycheck on my statement, but I think it's correct.
