I am redoing the exhaust on my Int'l 9400. ( that's a whole nother story). All that's left to do is install a 21" section of flex pipe between the turbo pipe and the exhaust pipe under the cab. Each pipe has a notch 3" from the end to limit how far the flex will slide up on the pipes.
My question is; what is the best clamp to use on the flex to solid pipe joint?
I have formed and flat band clamps, or is there a design out there that would be better. It is a very tight area to deal with them. I need to hurry on this so any help is much appreciated.
Question about exhaust clamps

You want to use a stainless step clamp, not a flat clamp. Put some muffler cement it will help seal better.
If is really tight you might want to look for the clamp without the nuts. It's a bar inside the clamp with threads on it. I think walker makes themsilver dollar Thanks this. -
Make sure your use a stainless flex pipe too.

Second the stainless flex and stainless preformed bands are also what I use. I tighten the piss out of them until they bottom out. None of mine leak.
KeithT1967, silver dollar and icsheeple Thank this.
