Hi,
I had a customer recently use his CDL as an ID for a credit card. I noticed on the actual drivers photo that he had a 6 digit number running vertical up the left side of the photo. The number doesn't correspond with anything else within the license and I don't recall ever seeing that before on a CDL. I wrote it down as part of the ID but I'm not sure if I needed to or what it means. Anyone familiar with that?
Question about CDL Photo

Without knowing what your business is or why you're needing to write down info from someone's drivers license, I'd say if you don't know what it is, you probably don't need it. If your business required it, you'd know it. But, I'm skeptical of a need to write down any information from the drivers license. FWIW, my Texas license does not have any number across the picture.
