i have fault for low oil pressure , i have change the sensor , and it's not helping
-
If not sensor, time to chase wire to dash gauge and check ecm. -
thanks for the fast respond , yes we have try new sensor , it's a 1999 peterbuilt 379 , i have only a mechanical gauge , but a Check Engine light on until the motor reach is working temperature , after the light come off ....weird problem ?
i will check back when the truck will be here in the end of this afternoon to see if i monitor oil pressure with ET20011b -
May take fitting out and see if trash is in galley or just move to manual location and try. You will need to run wires for test in new location.

Thanks maggard for helping , have you idea why is DIAG in the column just beside oil pressure in ET ?
-
Oil pressure is not a de rate fault just a diagnostic fault. The ecm compensates for faulty pressure 87 psi I believes. Once you get sensor reading and then you can clear fault. I am not well versed on et, but somewhat familiar. I see electrical tape in your pictures might have some corrosion going on under there.

DIAG in ET means that there is a problem than needs to be diagnosed. Looks like yo have a wiring issue to me.

verify oil pressure at the port where the sensor is plugged in, if you have oil pressure which you probably do I would suspect that you have a wiring issue to the ecm.
