I'm a tanker driver that has a load for a steel mill in Mt. Vernon (calvert) AL. My question is pretty simple. My appointment time is 9:00 Saturday morning. I'm hoping to get home Saturday night 630 miles away. So I need a FULL clock to do it. So here is the question : is there a place to park there overnight?? I need nothing except a parking spot. Thanks in advance. .

I would call and ask them. Maybe someone will respond who has been there. Call though, should be easy to get a number if you don't have it for some reason.

if it is the arcelor plant ( formerly thyssen krupp )
been a while since there last. they do have a good size staging area for trucks. I have in the past parked in the staging lot overnight, usually at the far end away from the office.

If your going to SSAB and or Blastech, Located in Axis, AL.
they also have a truck staging area on the road into the plant.

Also a small truck stop (midway) is located about 6 or so miles up 43 from 65, small place, not a lot of parking.

its not far from the pilot at satsuma. maybe 15 miles.
you may be able to get in depending on your time, and if you want to.

I've been there before. I didn't stay the night or ask though. They do have a security guard in the staging area though so I would call and ask. They have a bunch of crazy rules. Can't even have a dog in your truck. Screenshot_2016-05-13-05-28-01.png Screenshot_2016-05-13-05-27-08.png

I got a note saying don't call them Tyson krupp. They are real sensitive. Severstal. Is what I havefor a customer name.

new address is Steel drive, I was there a coupe weeks ago and ran out of hours while loading, the woman in the office took my info and I was able to do a ten there, but I think you have to be out of hours to stay for your ten, after 9 hours they were knocking on doors waking drivers up to leave.

They take your word for whether your out of hours or not, nice enough people especially for a steel mill. You have to get permission to stay for a ten though, they seem pretty serious about that.
