My husband is currently working for Werner and is thinking of going to work for Quality Driveaway after sitting for the 5th time for over 36 hours waiting for a load. What is the current scope on this company. He would start driving out of Garland.
Please respond I need to know before we spend money on a hitch. Thanks
Quality Driveaway

Is he going to hual fifthers or drive the new trucks?
This is probably the company Ill go with if I quit OTR. -
You need to define the situation. I would first assume he is a driver. Then you speak of purchasing a hitch which seems to point to him owning the truck.

He will drive the new truck and tow behind his jeep. It has to be better than Werner but he doesn't want to get in another mess like them again.

Will he get a 1099 at the end of the year? -
You pay for the fuel on the vehicle you deliver.
You pay for the return trip.SHC Thanks this. -
out of garland is .44/mi. laredo is .43/mi. the "backhauls" and trucks from goshen, in the driver pays the fuel. The best way to make $ is to team up with 1 or 2 other drivers and split the gas expense and drive time in your personal vehicle. By the way, your downtime is spent in your car. If you try and take your off time in a motel you will limit the miles you get and put yourself in the poorhouse.

I know Quality does pay meager rates..... have him call "Jet Inc." out of Middleburry, IN.

Quality will also lie about available runs and not let any better runs out until the less desirable loads have been accepted . The will also lie about runs that are available to go out on a Friday or Saturday . A lot of drivers end up spending the weekend there needlessly .

Just before I left them, the freight got really slow and there was a list. No reason to be sitting up there waiting.,
