Hello All,
Well I graduated CDL School and heading to orentation next Monday. The Company I`m going with "Colonial in Knoxville TN" sent me a letter telling me what and where and it stated that I needed to bring a Pulp Thermometer along with a few other things. I believe it is used to tell Temp for their Reefers. Do any of you know exactly what I would need one for and where I can get one. I dont want to try and get one online in case there is a shipping problem "week away". Is this something I can get at a Radio Shack or some other chain store? How much? Thanks for your advice and wish me luck.

cause of the temperature of the freight, you may need to "pulp" it. Pulping
is sticking a pocket thermometer in the product itself to check the internal temp. The product is not neccessarily always the same temp as what the trailer unit says on the display, pulping can save from having a load refused at the customer if the themometer reads within the range of acceptable temperatures. -
Thank you...I`ll check them out tomorrow. I am so excited to get out there.

Hey Bear,
What school did you attend? A guy from our class when went with Colonial too, and said he is getting tons of miles...but he was getting frustrated with the 10 weeks of training. He had been a large box truck driver in the past, and can't wait to get on his own. He lives very close to you, between Columbia and Centerville. Good Luck!! -

To test a pulp Thermometer, put it in a glass of ice water and it will read 32 exactly, if it doesnt twist the face while holding the little nut on the stem to adjust to
32
