I delivered today at the publix in deerfield beach,fl. I arrived three hours early and they put me in a door right away. I was out of there in two and a halif hours. I had a frozen load. The people there were freindly. Had a good experience. You can come early if its after 12 noon, but there is no overnite parking.

I was at Publix a couple yrs ago and they were very strict on being on time. But my unload took 7 hrs on new yrs eve night. That was in Atlanta, GA. The great thing is they had plenty of parking for trucks that were waiting, so if you get early they will not take you.

I taught my son (when he was 14 years old) how to drive on that airstrip/tarmac. There was a pallet facilty right there on the north side of the road. My son and I came home to momma with tresspassing warrents from Jacksonvilles Finest, luckily the cop was in a "good" mood; some of that airstrip is private property and the teenagers used to go 4wheelin out there. We still laugh about that.....

I have an 8am appointment at Publix in Sarasota. I should be there around midnight. Is there anywhere nearby to park?

    yes,

route 72 clark road, heading west off I-75...............

right as you turn left onto sawyer road is a dirt lot.............

And they USED to let you park on the property at publix if you were early.

Being nice to that gate guard will be to your advantage !!!!

Being a Publix associate, I can say with all honesty that the attitude of the particular receiver can make all the difference. I like to think that I was fair and friendly while I did that particular job. Some days are better than others. Busy days can be hard on everyone. Some departments and DC's are better or worse than others.

IMHO--PUBLIX--isn't what it used to be but what is--they are still a #### sight better than most--Dacula can be a cluster--but only because of its size--on the other hand--I usually can just pull all my stuff off there(like the old days) before anyone realizes what is going on--LOL--of course compared to their so called competition(another joke--Kroger)in Atlanta--Publix is stellar--all of them had some problems when they changed policies and brought in Food Handlers(or whatever that bunch calls itself)--but that was mostly squared a way pretty quick..Overall I'll still take Publix over them all
Oh and for what it is worth--I have been delivering to them(or going with someone delivering to them)when lakeland WAS their only warehouse--LMAO
and as for shopping with them--they are IMHO--the absolute BEST grocery store in the country
    Just my $.02
