Man I went there on Friday at 1:30PM for a 4PM appointment thinking I was going to get out fast because I only had to pull out 6 light pallets of baby food. But nope, guard told me to check in at 3:30PM. I went to check in and it was a sausage fest of drivers waiting to check in because we all had the same appt. times. I was like the 14th person to check in. Unloaded my sheat and waited and waited and waited almost 3 hours for them to tag it, and sign my BOL for me to go. Fux that place.

I had a load the delivered to 4 of publiX warehouses. I posted a thread here about my experience. For me, it took almost a whole week to get the trailer empty. 3am appointments, $60 lumpers and 5 hour,,+ unloading time for each stop.

The Orlando stop was a win for me since there was drunk lizards on the prowl, but that's another story ;)

Had to post an update--in the last year or so--corporate in lakeland got back involved and they are pretty much back to being VERY cool--all drivers w/ANY certification--can unload using ANY equipment necessary--forklifts 2-3pallet ridin jacks etc--and the receivers will sign you out on the dock as soon as your load is on the floor...only difference between now and years ago is the receivers dont pull it off for you--although I know a few of the freezer guys in jax and lakeland that will--
