Proud American trucking company is a fraud.

Sooo,what’s the name of the company?

 

The 40% OOS, based in northwest Indiana, and the name "Proud American Trucker" are enough to know you will not be getting paid lol. I think the attorneys in that area are pretty well saturated with requests for chasing trucker paychecks.

Sorry about your luck and any financial troubles that come from it, but you're better off cutting your losses and moving on. They've already stolen your labor. Don't let 'em steal your peace of mind that a reputable company can give you.

 

My suggestion is to cut your losses and go to a different company. Chalk it on up and let it be a lesson to stick with reputable companies, and to never leave anything of value in your car if it's going to be parked for a long stretch. Giving them the keys to your car should have told you what you needed to know.

 

NW Indiana, like Chicago, is well known for these immigrant-owned, scam companies. If their business address isn’t a legit locale, it’s an illegitimate business most likely being operated from overseas. I know of a building with nearly 40 mailboxes on the backside of it. It’s just a physical address for overseas operations.

Any variation of USA, American, Patriot, etc, is most likely an immigrant-owned company. It’s always my first red flag.

 

Sell all the tires off the newer model truck they're supposed to be giving you. Just say they were stolen.

 

If you can prove you worked for them and they owe you the money, try filing a wage claim in the state they are based out of, with the workforce commission or state labor board. That should get you paid. As for what they stole out of your car, I am not sure. You admit you handed them the keys. It's your word against their word really. You could maybe file a police report, but I would expect you handing them the keys would have the police not really wanting to listen.
