I just graduated from their about 1 month ago, it's a good school.
Costs 1,600. If you pay full in cash they'll deduct $100.00
Or 500 down and they'll do a payment plan, no credit check. Their flexible, they will work with you, good people ;) Their open 6 days a week, morning and evening pre trip classes.

I see them driving around the usual Bedford Park locations when I'm getting unloaded there. Personally I went to Star in Hickory Hills and they were very good too. More expensive though.

Star is expensive. Can't beat 1,500. That's the best rate all over Cook and Dupage county

How long is the school and how much driving time do you actually get? Who hires from their school? Different types of trucks and transmissions? I'm sure the rent for a few weeks in Chicago would be high though.

You MUST complete 128 hrs of class room time, 32 hrs behind the wheel before you can test. You need to get your FIRST 70 hrs in/PLUS a 90% on THEIR pre trip written exam AND YOU MUST ATTEND TO 2 pre-trip classes a week in in order to start/continue your driving lesson behind the wheel. When you get your 70 hrs in, and fail their pre trip written exam they will not let you drive no exceptions! Lets say you pass their exam and you dont show up to pre-trip classes (3 classes a week mornings/3 classes a week evenings.) you will not be ALLOWED TO DRIVE. 32 hrs btw comes with their package, any additional lessons will cost you...it's $120.00 a lesson which is 1 hr and a half. They give you 2 lessons a week btw....You get to choose your schedule . They ONLY schedule on Thursdays. Once again each class btw is 1 hr and a half. They have a 10 speed Freightliner mercedes engine w/sleeper berth for the roads exam, and they have a 10 speed Volvo day cab they use for roads on some occasions. For the skills exam you use their GMC 8 speed.. Some students used their 32 hrs btw and felt they still aren't ready for the official exam they end up buying lessons. If u buy 2 lessons it'll cost you less. Now what I did was use 16 hrs for roads and 16 hrs for skills. You decide what's best for you. ON TEST DAY these state officials show NO MERCY! Average 10-12 students test and RARLEY one student will pass all 3 exams one their first try. An average of 5-7 students fail on Pre-trip on their first try. The hardest exam in my opinion was pre-trip, one error ,the state officials will fail you. I failed my roads for COASTING. Then the next week did my retake and passed. On test day they split the group of students in half and in order you get tested pre-trip, skills, and then roads. If you fail you must pay 50$ for the retake. If you fail roads or skills you pay for your retake and it's mandatory you must buy 1 lesson or they won't allow you to re-test.. Why these rules? According to the school when students are failing it costs the school points which will add up and they will get low ratings and fined. So that's their policy. If you were to ask me it's bs. Test days are on WEDNESDAYS only. Now if you find a school cheaper then this out fit go for it , I did ton of research before I signed up, they were the lowest cost. You can be in and out of there with you're Cdl if you can go in everyday, if you work/have family to take care of, then it'll take longer of course. I went in 1O hr days and finished all my class room hrs. One more thing I forgot to mention they have pop up exams, the same pre trip exam, if you get less than 90% you ain't driving pal. As long as you study their pre trip study book that they give you , you will ace it!

    Thanks
    Johnny
