I live in Michigan and am looking for a training program to get my Class A license.. I am hearing decent things about Prime Inc but have so many questions. (If you can suggest any good companies that pay for your CDL training, please do) Is Prime Inc only supposed to be for people that live in Missouri?
If not, say I travel to Missouri to train... if all goes well, I work for them for 1 year? So basically I live with Prime, and never return to Michigan during this 1 year? Also, after the 1 year, would my CDL be good in Michigan, meaning would I be able to go back home and apply for a company in Michigan? Or would i have to take the tests all over again?
Am I better off just finding some training in Michigan? What about Pam Transport or Trainco?
I'm trying to keep it short so that's all for now.. thanks!
Prime Inc training.. does it matter what state you live in? And more questions

Yes you have to travel to Springfield for Orientation and your training.
You are allowed to take 1 day off for every week you are out on the road after training. Max of 4 days off in a row, and not more than once every 3 weeks.
Home time is where you wish it to be.
After you get your CDL in MO, you will then be routed up to Michigan to change your CDL to that state as long as that is you state of residency.
Hope this helpsnewbietrucker007 Thanks this. -
Check out the Prime section, this has all been discussed multiple times already.

I wonder if any member has ever read every post on this forum? Wonder if it could be done? I ain't going to try it!

A lot of it's repetition, because the same questions get asked over 'n over 'n over 'n over...
That's why we started the thread pinned to the top of the forum...

I did look at the prime forum, for 3 hours and I found the answer to most of my questions except these. Figured I'd start my own thread to save a few hours. Sorry if I missed some info in the 76 page sticky.
