What do you mean by 'crash bars'?
-
I'm talking about the brush guards that cover the front end of the trucks. I'm seeing them more and more. I think their a good idea. Cheaper to replace than a front bumper/hood because of an accident or animals.
-
They are for animal impact as for rear end crashes they are useless. OK for dear, elk or moose maybe I don't know.
-
True indeed. I would think they would also serve a good purpose in preventing damage to the truck as four wheelers continue to act like morons on the highway.
-
-
Good deal. I think it's a plus.
-
I had one on my truck when I ran the highway. The only thing I didn't like about it is doing a pre trip or topping off windshield washer fluid is a pain in the butt. And if you're lucky enough to have a long hood truck ya gotta open the bumper up then your hood to even wash your windshield!!
-
Now I didn't think of that. Did they prevent inadvertent accidents in parking lots?
-
Only parking lots I went into didn't usually have silly four wheelers in them lol
