Pride group is filling for bankruptcy protection after a lender Mitsubishi HC Capital America has filed a 100 million us lawsuit claiming the two owners who are brothers took out lines of credit to buy inventory for both the truck sales and leasing part of the company . i’ve been noticing that none of their trucks seem to be selling probably because of the economic situation. I do know their trucking company has taken a lot of freight from my company

What i don’t get is they own a bunch of companies under their umbrella and they couldn’t make a payment. doesn’t make sense to me .Magoo1968 and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
I've been hearing this since February. The company I'm leased onto order a few new trucks and the Truck Salesman told them that 'Pride Logistics' cancelled their 100 new truck order for 2024. The redflags are present.
However, my major issues with these larger carriers (especially in Canada) is the disadvantage for those hired and corrupted tactics involved. The 'Driver Inc' scam seems to be slowly destroying a lot of the freight rates for those on the board as one to another carrier under bids the next one. The other issues with these carriers are (like "Pride Logisitic Group") are the tedious consecutive job ads for New Drivers & O/o's they are putting out daily.
Examples: AZ Drivers for FLATBED Division Jobs
AZ Company and Owner Operators (US Runs) Jobs
Yet, after quickly reading the majority of the comments from previous or even current Drivers and Owner Operators there is shows the company's lack of transparency and integrity.
There is too so much corruption occurring in Trucking yet these companies want the top their of workers. Yet companies use tricks, despicable tactics and strategies to rob and steal money from those doing 90% of the work that keeps the company rolling.
How do they expect a driver or o/o with due diligence to overlook the elephant in the room that they filed for bankruptcy protection? Common sense must prevail especially after reading from a former Driver and/or Owner Operator who comments badly on their experience there. Why will anyone else's experience be any different? Its a deplorable mentality with these types of companies operating in Ontario and contributes to the downfalls of Trucking in this province.Attached Files:

No great surprise this. Its been obvious they have gotten too big way too soon, market has tanked and now they are stuck with a ton of inventory.
I leased a truck through them....to be fair to them , they were the only ones willing to finance me. I wait with baited breath to see how i stand!!Canadianhauler21 Thanks this. -
