Does anybody know where to find a PrePass Transponder holder with suction cup mounts? I hate having the double-sided tape on my window but can't find the holders anywhere. Thanks for a heads up.

I gave up with mounts. I lay mine on the dash with the back facing the windshield and the fat part closest to the winshield. It works like a champ and never moves. Only problem is when it goes off I've got to pick it up to see if i got a green light. I work mostly in the north east so i rarely have to look at it because PA NJ CT MA aren't prepassing anyone.

Forget about double sided tape! Take and put the SOFT part of Velcro on the window. It won't tear up your paper towels when cleaning!

Thats a good idea but you shouldnt have to pick up the transponder to see if you got the green light. When it goes off, the red light gives off a series of short beeps and the green light is longer intermittent tones.

I actually mount then on the right side of the windshield divider if there is one and put them so they block the freaking hole left from stupid engineers when they designed the sun visors! Put the right visor down and if you have PikePass put it on top and in the corner of the windshield and then the PrePass below it and snuggled in tightly. The do a pretty good job of blocking MOST of the sun coming in through the big hole! That is if you have a FL!

double sided tape? I work for werner and we use PrePass Plus, which also does EZ Pass, and it comes with a very hard velcro like mount. And i've mounted prepass plus right out of the package, so i know it comes that way.

What if you clip it to the visor and make sure its always down, or atleast when it's needed?

Rollover, NICE. That's exactly where i mount it, but i didn't even think about it blocking the sun. I guess it does a good job of it. I also drive a cascadia which does not have the outside visor, so .. :)

I use 3M industrial grade double sided tape, on one of our trucks it's been in place 7yrs without a problem. I've had mine up for a year with no problems, although when the windshield gets replaced in the spring it'll be time for new tape.

Whats the likelyhood of the batteries runnin dead in these things? Mine hasnt worked for about 2 months now. The EZpass part still works, thank God.. The last time we were in New York city, We thought we were gonna have to pay the tolls and have the company reimburse us. Its a good thing it worked considering them #### bridges over there cost like 60 bucks to cross......

Well NYC bridges are $45 and $35, BUT if you hand the transponder to the cop or toll worker they punch in the unit number and it'll charge the account! BUT still NEVER go into NYC without at LEAST $100 and a GOOD paper fold out Rand McNalley map in the truck!

That may be what some of them are, but the bridge that goes from Brooklyn to Staten Island was 60 bucks. I know this because we got confused and thought the cash lane was also EZPass and it wasnt. The toll attendant asked for 60 bucks. And, he never said anything about giving him our transponder to make the transaction. We had to give him our registration and DL, make a u-turn at the next exit, pull over on the shoulder, wait for the toll cop to give us or paperwork back, go back over the bridge, make another uturn at the first exit, go back across the bridge again and this time, go through the EZPass lane.
