Prepass and scale rules when entering different states?

California, Oregon, and Washington you can bypass the scale while hauling hazmat if you get the bypass from the scale or prepass. Washington has signs on the road that say to bypass or enter

 

When Location Is CLOSED, or when using a (local) BYPASS route.

If, for some reason, you might not be too sure of Weigh Stations, it's BEST to enter EVERY location, except when Entrance ramp is CROWDED.

I-10 WEST just out of Texas, Scale has Red or Green Lights either Blinking or Steady because they have Pads in Highway before entrance.
I failed ONCE to "see" that I needed to enter scale, 2330 or so, and cruised on by to first exit for fuel. No Tagalong, yet did not do such twice.

What's the point of having prepass if you don't bypass when you have a green light?

 

Green light on prepass ,i bypass. unless i got oversize load on the back. I dont pay 20 bucks a month to drive in on a green light

 

Occasionally I get the green light on the prepass but the road sign lights up saying to enter the scale.

 

What scales are you going by?

 

For some reason I memorized “Triple A Cow”

Arizona, Arkansas, Alabama, Colorado, Ohio, Washington??

 

I think in Oklahoma there was electronic sign that said “ truck must enter scale” but I got green light on pre-pass. Nobody chases me but I was looking behind my shoulder for a bit.

 

Nothing works in Louisiana ....
