Does anyone have any information on this company. I see their trucks down my way all the time. I've looked on their website, now I would like to hear from the actual drivers to see how it is driving for them. Thanks for any info in advance![]()

Now there has got to be at least one Premier driver looking at these forums.
-
I think there are other threads on them. I worked there for a short time, my mistake going in was to trust someone else to team with, wish I had gone in alone... probably still be there if I had but... again, trusted wrong guy.... Not sure about MD area but we did run into Va and some store D&H's in Md from Atl and Fl.
Pay was average but you get paid for almost all you do, even some D&H's so that's good, Elog's now I think which will hurt in my opinion but.... Trucks could be better, small sleepers for the shorter distance guys and 65 governed.
Good luck!Rif Raf McQ and TDriver4Life Thank this. -
Thanks for the reply
I was beginning to wonder if any of their drivers had time to do the forums. Just about every other day I see a Premier Truck coming into Lexington Park, Maryland. Not sure where they are going but my guess would be the super walmart or the Pax River Navy Base.

Rif raf,If you call them they will tell you pretty straight up what they do in your area and what they expect. They don't want people that aren't a good fit, it costs a lot to bring people on these days and they will get you to Forest Park, Ga for orientation, we were put in a comfort inn with a Cracker barrel right in front of it and every night we got a $10 ticket for dinner, breakfast was in hotel and they order lunch from a menu you get in class. We did our drug stuff locally so we were ready to go before we were brought in. They do a lot of store deliveries, some D&H some multistop, also lots of warehouse to warehouse stuff, like tractor supply, target and several others. Mostly lighter loads, 20 to 30,000 with a few 40,000 thrown in.
If I had gone on solo I would have had a better chance but like I said, it was my mistake not theirs.
Give them a call, it's free!! Good luck.Rif Raf McQ Thanks this. -

Well I called them today as I said I would but unfornately they do not hire in this area. Apparently their closest hub is in connecticut and I dang sure ain't moving there. The lady did seem annoyed that I was asking her questions, she must have had something better to do. Oh well knock another one off my list.
-
Surprised to hear that she wasn't polite, some of the terminal guys were a little gruff but office was always nice, well, we all have bad days I guess, sorry they won't work for you. Fisherville Va is a hub too but that's probably just as far for you.
Good luck in your hunt!!!Rif Raf McQ Thanks this. -
Yeah I took her attitude with a grain of salt, like you said everybody has thier bad days. Thanks for the reply!jlind Thanks this. -
This company tries to put on the "family" feel to their company but they are far and away NOT family friendly. Their President & CEO sits around plotting how to cut the medical insurance benefit and can't wait to do so (except for select office staff - the rest of you are going to be on the exchange) So much for their family friendliness. Anyway, they hire you to do OTR? Fine, you'll get plenty of miles - no problem. You will have to hold the crazy dispatchers back as they don't keep track of your hours - that's your job. Learn to say "NO" or you may regret it these days (if you know what I'm getting at). They told you that they have a special run for you that will get you home as you want (local/regional) and its a new account? Their favorite trick to get OTR drivers. Classic bait & switch. Stand your ground or you'll be back to OTR. Get injured on the job? Plan on being treated like a slave back prior to the civil war as they run their plantation well. Any treatment you get will be after you get an attorney involved and you will wait a long time to get any compensation. Plan on getting an insurance policy that covers you irregardless of how you are disabled/injured as you will surely need it if you make the mistake of falling for the ploy of "FAMILY FRIENDLY' Premier.
