My Predator 3500 does not seem to be charging the battery. It ran low and then lower and then lower until I had to use the pull start.
The battery is pretty low but I'm going to attempt to charge it and then I can check to see if it actually is charging or not. But with a battery that has run down that low certainly doesn't seem like it's charging to me.

So the first question is does anyone know if there is a simple fix for this?

The second question is what battery replaces it? Harbor Freight has a 160CC a battery but I don't know if that will fit the 3500.

Aside from the charging issue the generator has really been great. It's been super quiet and done everything that I've needed.

I would hate to use the warranty for that issue but I guess if I had to I would.

School me - does the generator have a small alternator that charges it’s own battery for ‘push button’ starts?

I’m not familiar with those generators, but it would make more sense to run the 110ac through a rectifier, then step in down to 12vdc. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a small amount of Ac voltage at the battery if Dino puts a volt meter on the battery.
