Ok so I'm looking to buy a predator 10k antenna and I'm not sure which one to get. Do I need a sw dual coil or regular single coil and which length shaft do I need? Here are the measurements for my antenna mount I have placed on the back of my freightliner bulk truck. It's a mid roof. Tge distance from my mount to the top of my roof is about 25inchs.. The distance from my mount to 13'6 tall is about 70 inchs. So what setup do ya think will work the best. I have a wilson 2k mounted their now but I need to get the coils of the predator above the roof or close to it as possible but still not go above the 13'6. Please if u can help me on figuring this out I need it

Get the coil up and away from all that metal that i see in the pic..Any 10k will work but shaft size is the question...A single coil comp will work nicely with 27" shaft....No need for duel coil..I dont remember the # but it should tune at about 60" from base of ant shaft to tip of whip..Looks like your coil will be just above roof line and under 13"6....Find a shop who has a analyzer to tune up that ant...Swr is not enuf to tune with..You will want resonance of 0 or within a cpl numbers....If any shop doesnt know what it means or cant, walk away...
Blaskowitz and EZ Money Thank this. -
I'd keep the 2000 and just move it up to the top of that rack, and if need be replace the 10" shaft with a 5".

I run a wilson 5000 on top of my flattop kenworth. It hits some over passes but so far so good. And my guess with the swr issue is there is a ground problem on that top piece.
