Today my inverter shut down while driving after giving the LUP (low voltage alarm) signal. It started up and ran fine as long as the truck was stationary but did the same thing once I was driving down the road again. Tonight while parked it is running fine. What would cause it to shut down while moving? I have had it about 3 weeks and this is the first problem with it. Thanks for any ideas.

    How is it mounted?

How much load did your batteries have? Such as lights on..

Check your termianl coonections on both the inverter end (load side) and the battery side (power). May be an intermitant short to ground. An OHM meter will identify open circuits and shorts. I carry one on the truck. Picked one up from Harbour Freight for under $20.00 made in China, gets the job done just fine. Never leave home without it.

I have a 3000 watt powerdrive inverter and I had it for about 3weeks the 1 st week it run good I have a micowave refrigerator and laptop to this inverter with 2 Gage wire hook up 4ft long good ground hook up. What is doing is throwing a LUP when I turn on the 700watt micowave and the little ground wire is getting hot so I got the micwave unplug and it runs fine.

My experience with LUP has been what's posted above. Loose connections. Will probably fix your hot wire also.
