You know: the little chemical toilets they use on boats or during camping.

Does anyone carry one along for the ride? Yanno sometimes you can't quite make the next rest stop or t/s or whatever; or the place you do stop is grossly nasty.

    What's y'all's thoughts on this?

Got one from Cabelas ... LOVE IT! Two parter... Clean water in top tank, black water in bottom tank... Separates for emptying.

Some companies won't allow that in their trks.Don't wait till the very last second and you now realize you have to make a deposit so to speak. You just have to chance it hoping the restroom is clean. You can pretty much tell just by the condition of the building if they keep up on cleaning and sanitizing the comodes.I have never been in a restroom where its grossly nasty. The smell might be enough to gag a maggot though.

I use a 5 gallon bucket with a plastic toilet seat. You can find them at about any outdoorsman store like Cabella's, Bass Pro Shops, Sportsmans Wharehouse, etc.

Just line the bucket with a plastic bag (tall kitchen trash bag works great) before you put the seat on. Great for emergency's or if you're stuff out in the outback.

Of course, make sure you dispose correctly. I have a side box on my trailer and will store the bag there in another bucket with a lid till I find a dumpster. Gross to many, but hey, it works.

I only had a close encounter one time and that was when I traveled from Fernley, NV (Near Reno) To Las Vegas. There was one section of US95 where I had to deposit a couple logs and almost didn't find a spot to stop. Other then that, I don't see why anyone would need one unless you like to stop in the middle of nowhere for your breaks...

When you're only running in NV, UT, ID, MT, WY, ND and CO, you do need to plan good. The last straw that made me carry the bucket in my rig was one of those NV rest area bathroom/outhouse's that only seemed to get cleaned once every other month. :biggrin_2552:
