I'm saving up my Loves points to get one of the two. I already have a small mini fridge in my freightliner cascadia that came already installed in the truck.

I've heard that coleman powerchill can end up freezing your food and that it doesn't last long. The Koolatron mini fridge is about $100 more, and not sure if it's much better or where I could put it. Would be nice to have some extra food storage to minimize grocery runs.

Anyone have experience with these two items from loves? Does Loves offer warranties or returns if they break?

The Koolatron is not a refrigerator, its a thermoelectric cooler.

I've had the best luck with an Igloo thermoelectric cooler. My current one is two years old, and all I've replaced is the power cord one time (bought the OE replacement, not the POS Road King brand). Coleman doesn't have this option.

I'd skip Loves and go to a Walmart for a fridge simply because the truck stops overprice everything. I've had the same Black and Decker for almost 4 years with no issue. Those 12v coolers are a joke in comparison.

Keep in mind that almost (If not all) Thermo Electric coolers were not designed for prolonged, continuous use. That's why most people hate them. Run them during your 14 and give them a break (Unplug them) during your 10.

And when if you do unplug them, don't just yank the plug from the outlet. I had a Coleman which provided me what I needed for a year and a half before I was able to get a Dometic mini fridge. These units are designed to run 24/7.

Had a koolatron cooler for over two years now. Had to buy a new cord for it awhile back. I run mine 24/7 for a week at a time. I'll blow the dust out of the fan assembly once in awhile. Works great.

Is $400 the average price tag for a fridge for a tractor?
