I'm new here, so I was hoping that someone could answer this for me. I know that if I get a cash advance from my comdata card when I fuel, that there is no fee charged from pilot. Sometimes, however, I need a cash advance between fuel stops. I have noticed that when I do get an advance without fuel, pilot charges three dollars. If I get a 100$ advance, my company takes 103$ out of my check. I also noticed that when I get the advance at the register the signature pad first says "total amount due: $103.00", then after signing and accepting the transaction, pilot employee gives me $97 and says that the other 3 is for the fee. So it seems to me as if pilot is getting six dollars instead of three. Can someone help me understand this?

maybe that employee is taking the other $3.00?

i haven't had to use any cash advance card/check whatever, for anything in decades. might be to your advantage to have your weekly paycheck go into your personal bank account and then you use your ATM card.

however, it was known (back in the day) that if your bank was out of a network, you would pay ATM fee's!

    no winning is there?

This one's easy....no fee if fueling, no fuel, then there's a fee. Co charges you $3 regardless, Pilot charges if you don't fuel.

Like @Allow Me. says, you're probably getting charged $3 from company, regardless. And Pilot waives the fee with 50+ gallons.

    Get off of those advances.
Your telling your company that your dead broke
And you'll have to take any crappy load they want
To dump on you because you don't have two
    Nickels to rub together.

sevenmph, DTP and HalpinUout Thank this.

The cashier is not taking your "$3"..for every hundred without fuel is $3..if you get 50 gallons of fuel . The first $200 is free.. For every hundred after that is $3..$50 is a $1.50 fee...etc..

You can get up to $200 back without a fee and 3% over that or 3% without fueling no matter the amount.

I have found that a great number of their employees are totally confused by this and aren't any help.

I don't get cash advances like you do but I use a comchek express code to get my fuel and they consider any cash back an advance.

Also TA Petro is $300 and Loves $200 when fueling

    Not true...
My company does not charge for advances so it is cheaper than paying atm fees.
