I've only been in 22/23 freightliner, Volvo and peterbilt. I liked the Volvo the most, then freightliner. Not a big fan of the Pete.
Pick-2024 KW, Volvo, Frlnr, or Intern which do you pick and why?

I’m just a company smuck, but, 2 KW’s were nice, but junk. Volvo was most comfortable & reliable. This cascadia, #### thing amazes me the abuse it goes through & hasn’t had an issue yet. Knock on plastic. If I was striking out on my own it would definitely be a freight liner

I’m in a 2022 freightliner and like it. Turn the key it starts runs and stops. Doesn’t pull like a kw up hills but getting better as it breaks in. Fairly roomy, I like the fridge better than a kw for sure. Company driver here.

I prefer Western Star myself, but given the choices Volvo.
Just did a road test for a new job I applied on in a newer International and was actually impressed with it compared to the 2016 Intl Workstar I had as an o/o.Todd727 Thanks this. -
Volvo. In my opinion, the best trucks on the market. I love the power, I love the durability. They are also very comfortable trucks for driving long haul. Volvo is the only truck that I've driven in which I can haul a 44k lb load and not really feel it

Important for company drivers as well cause not all repairs can be put off till you get back to the terminal.
Need to Keep engine manufacturer in mind also. Detroit and Cummins have a bunch of corporate and independent certified shops, the others not so much.
For serviceability I would roll with
1) Freightliner/ W.S.
2) Cummins powered KW
3) Cummins powered Pete (dealers tend to poorly treat not established customers)
4) Pacar powered
Volvo did not make my list because there are not enough service points..... Closest to the house is about an hour and a half away. A bit to far to dump it and "wife taxi" for service while on home time.hope not dumb twucker and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -
1st pick - Peterbilt , 2nd Volvo , 3rd KW

Volvos are great, but when they break down---LOOK OUT. It can take weeks to get it fixed. Even the new ones. Freightliners get a bad rep from people as being "cheap", but the turnaround time to get work done on them is second to none.
