I'm in the 3rd weekend class of 8 right now, 7 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday, and Sunday (160 hour course). I searched the Phoenix area schools, and this one met my needs, and the price was right for the training. I've never driven, nor even got close to a semi-truck prior to enrolling. The instructors and staff have managed to instill the confidence that I have needed to begin and continue the training. I think they have an open-house this coming Saturday. I took my wife to the open-house in May, we both asked a lot of questions, we got solid answers, with no BS. Check their website, I would recommend this school.

that sounds like a good place to go, I know AIT up off of buckeye is a bottom feeder and they run 4-1 Students to Instructors, you ride more then you drive. I went to Glendale Community College but they have since closed down their program. They still have their trucks and they were renting a large lot down off of Sherman and 59th Ave. and had a building there as well for the classroom instruction.

If I was you and you like the way this school does their training and they are an Accredited school I would recommend that you go to the Schools section here on TTR and run a thread there, Do you know what company you are going to after you get finished with school? May I suggest that you check into Watkins and Shepard? You can fly out of Mesa Gateway straight into Missoula pretty cheaply, They will reimburse your airfare up to the amount of the unrestricted Bus ticket up there. I wish you luck, It gets better as you get more experience. Good Luck if you have any questions feel free you can PM me!. Take Care.

Another good company with a terminal in Phoenix is System Transport; they hire new CDL grads.
