Thank You as to this is why I came to this forum to learn. I never would have believed that and you have support. Would love to see a picture of that.
While we are on the drive shaft discussion I will share this. We have some 2017 Macks around here and one slung an inter axle driveshaft. Not complaining about the Mack in this case, they see dirt everyday. Did the normal go the the driveshaft store with the half we could find and the length we needed. Done deal and down the road. Later found the length of the yokes is longer than what has been standard for many years.
This caused the 12 point bolt heads on the straps to interfere with the opposing yoke on uneven ground. That spread the yokes on the differentials. Had to buy another driveshaft, two yokes, 2 seals and two nuts.
Watch for those long yokes and do not mismatch them.
Working on pictures myself but not my strong point.

2020 with zero miles. If its Dana/Spicer this is correct phasing.

Interesting. Are they doing it like that now becouse the through shaft on that rear is more offset to the side than traditional and they figured out it needs some compensation for the angle?

Those yokes do not appear to be aligned.
    Anyone else think that?

He said they were offset at 45 degree and that was proper phasing for that setup. I’m curious as to why for sure. Very interesting.

Rideandrepair, bigguns and Goodysnap Thank this.

    This is a 2017 Peterbilt with 1710 series inter-axle shaft. KIMG2453.JPG
2017 Kenworth with same axles, suspension, etc similar spec KIMG2454.JPG
More than one way to do it I guess. I have noticed un-phased set-up's on Volvo's too.
