Wow! Is it Closed?????Used to be one of my favorite truckstops before Petro came in, then it got worse when Idle Aire came in and destroyed the parking lot. That was one of the few times I actually think Idle aire was a bad thing in a truckstop. It got so bad, I quit going there. I hope someone will do a good thing in the future and put up a true and blue drivers oriented Mom and pop type truckstop there again.

I have not been through there for 2 years.
Last time I stopped at the Petro was in 2003. -
been there a few times, nice folks, too bad

It's too good a place not to have someone take it over. Big parking (along with the cardio workout you get climbing the stairs back up to the upper level parking), nice folks, etc.
We don't need to lose one that size. Couldn't someone arrange a trade for, say....the Pilot at Drums, PA? -
I heard it was a result of poor management.
Does anyone know if the truck wash is still open?

Went by there about 10 days ago, open again, not as a petro though.

On or about August 15, 2009, the Milton, PA All American Truck Stop closed its doors, a result of its owner filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and this occured at other All American Truck Stops including Virginia, near Kings Dominon Amuseument Park in Doswell. On July 7, 2009; papers were filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York.
It seems while all this gets sorted out, they will be open after a period of closure, which apparently has already occurerd. -
this was on the website for the All American Truck Stops, which is actually called All American Plazas ...
"Our new website is under development
Please check back soon"
So, if they went into bankruptcy on July 7, 2009 and today is September 9, 2009 my thinking is that it will be awhile before they get their website up and running. -
All American has owned the truckstop all the time. They franchised with Petro for a few years, and were planning on a franchise-type agreement with Pilot. Today, a few All Americans are open and are "franchised" with Pilot: at least Frystown, Duncannon, and Breezewood. Not sure what they are doing with the others long-term.
