Anything is possible... but I'm betting that a '96 is ready for new seats anywy, right?
My '95 379 will have it's 4th new seat pretty soon... -
Why would you want to sleep in the seat when you have a sleeper?

Maybe he spends a lot of time in line at the elevators... been there. We used to bring along the bosses pre-teen sons to drive the trucks in line so we could get some sleep.

Those seats are good but not that good that they aren't worn out by now... maybe not the upholstery but the bushings, etc. are most likely shot. You don't know how bad they are until you install a neat seat... been there often. My '95 379 is going on it's third new seat since I've owned the truck...9 years and counting.
One of the originals is still in the jump seat position... my son prefers them over anything else but you can't find ones that are not worn out.
You can find new Nationals or Seats, Inc for less that $500.00 at most Peterbilt dealers -
I got a new driver seat and put my original driver seat over on the passenger side (passenger side seat was worse than the driver seat when I bought it). Kind of wanting to get a new original passenger seat so they match, since the newer seats look a bit different than the old ones. Not sure if it's worth the expense, though. (1997 Pete 379)
