Can't see why not. Your only limitations are time and money. Frame rails would be fine, its all the mounting brackets, piping, wiring etc that'll need to be modified to make it work. IMO its way more work than it'd be worth. Plus you'll have a truck that will be a nightmare to order parts for and work on because it'll be a combination of multiple trucks.

i have a 98 377. Id basically take a whole 386 and put the cab and bunk on, get the engine harness reworked. Just need to know about that plumbing and all related to ac/heat and all if someones been there done that.

Plumbing would be the easy part i think. Heater is nothing but rubber hose. AC might be a little more difficult but not much. It would be the wiring that would be harder but I'm sure mawk industry can make a harness.

I've thought of doing something similar some day. I've rebuilt or replaced a lot of stuff on my 01 379. If the cab ever is in serious need of replacement I'd hate to just buy another truck and start from scratch vs throwing newer style cab on. But it would take some work

the 2013 cab and sleeper are the same exact dimensions as the 1998 cab and sleeper. everything will mount in the same spot to the frame. the only difference is the multiplex wiring in the 2013 cab. all you would need is a custom engine harness from your ecm to the new cab

    Hello rydr,

I'm having a 2014 63" Peterbilt Unibilt Ultra sleeper set on my 1999 379 and the mechanic says the wiring connectors on the sleeper don't match or are different than the cab, which had a sleeper a long time ago, just don't know the history on that. Is this custom engine wiring harness you describe something you might have some information on? Perhaps a name or contact info where a shop to discuss with?
