    Hi, couple questions about them
    2017 579 mx13.
Having lots of problems with them not working right. Can't imagine they are all going wacko.
    1. Are all these the same? They all just open and close the blend doors so I assume they are.
    2. I had problems with hot cold door. Pulled actuator. When I turn knob on control to say, cold, actuator turns in one direction. Stops a bit. Then turns again..
Then if I turn knob to hot , it turns but in same direction.
So since actuator has no circuit I it, I assume this means the control module is bad. Is this correct?
    Thanks

Control modules do not have high failure rate but it is possible. Any actuator dated prior to 365/15 can be suspect to internal shorting issues. All 5 actuators are the same part. Doors break on both the Panel and the temperature and occasionally the recirc locations. Panel door breaks most often.

I have seen some 579 with wiring rubs for the actuators. Wiring shorts on the RR corner of the radio case. When an actuator shorts or wiring the blower can cut off and on at random.

It does turn on and off occasionally.
I pulled dash once and repaired the defrost door. They would not sell me one so I fiberglassed it. Was a pain to force it in and out since could only open box a little.
    I'll check them dates.
I'd just buy a whole new box but it is a major job rr that thing. And outside in winter would not be fun.
Mechanic told me the recirculate had a code showing.
Now I'm having problems with defrost not blowing much again.

I rigged the hot cold door by taking a part the actuator and making a plate to screw on to hold gear in. Then installed it without front cover or motor. Turn the gear where I want it and jam a piece of circuit board inthe gear to hold it the door. Temp fix so I could have heat
