Hey yall, probably a dumb question here, but I drive a 93 Pete 379 daycab at work. It has the brackets by the aircleaners for 4 2" lights but has never had lights on it. I'll be picking some up soon but wanted to find out how the heck they mount in there. All the lights I remember seeing at the truck shops dont look like they come with any kind of gromet or anything, just a round plastic light. So how do I mount them to the brackets?

They sell the little gromets at truck stops and chrome shops. Put the rubber gromets in the holes fist and then the lights, they do sell differant types of gromets some make the lights stick out a bit some make them set a little deeper. Some truck stops sell led lights 2" and 2 1/2 " in a four pack for $19.99 which is a pretty good deal when you compare it to some singel light that sell for $11.99

You can see the holes I'm talkin about in this picture. So they wont fit huh? Dang. Guess I need to pony up and get the big brackets. How do those mount to the air cleaner? I also need to get some for the cab below the doors.[IMG]

To mount the brackets, you just loosen up the mounting bolts for the air filter cans, slide the tabs on the bracket behind the bolts, and then just tighten the bolts back up. Very simple.

    13MWZ Thanks this.
