Hello I have a sweet running low mileage Detroit DDECII that I am planning on swapping into my 1995 379 Pete. It originally came with a DDECIII engine. I want to keep the DDECII ECM because the engine runs really well as is. Does anyone know what,if any mods or changes I will need to make to the vehicle wiring harness to achieve this swap? Any and all info/advice will be much appreciated.

We did one years ago, I believe you will have to rewire jake and clutch swith and maybe get a plug from a truck with a ddecII and make those wiring changes. Its not a plug and play deal maybe someone has done it more recently can help you out. I would go with the III if it were me, we seen best fuel economy out of those. Hammer down the little fuel squeezers. Remove fuel return on back of head and drill out, it will help with HP. They had small galley on return and fuel would get hot quick and slack off.
