I have the opportunity to pick up a 96 377 very cheap in need of a hood and bumper. Does anyone know if a 378 or 379 hood would fit?

If its a set forward axle 377 a 378/379 might fit. I have my doubts. The rad might be wider too. Take lots of measurements lol

Even a set forward axle is a little farther back then 379's (about 4" if I remember right). The front bumper is straight across on a 379. On the 377 set forward axles, they taper back at the ends and wrap around the corner. The wheel opening is farther back on the 377 SFA hoods, if it's a SBA, then it's real far back compared to a 379.

Looked into this a little too. The 377 hood is also like 2 3/4 inches longer than the 378/379 sh

It is a sfa, i didnt think it would work. Really not fond of the looks of the 377 but hard to pass up at the price. 500hp 5ek, 18sp, 46 rears. Its a nicely specd truck

I've seen it done before. I know a guy who put a 379 short hood on a 377 but I'm not sure what all he had to do to make it work.

Yah hopefully someone on here has done it and can tell me what all is requires

One more thing I'm curious about. What's the difference in a 379 short hood and a 378 hood ?
