Yes. You need visibility out of that glass, too.

They'll make crumbs in the floor a vio if they can't find anything else.
Call it a trip hazard. (sic)

Also.. are you sure you have 2 motors??
Could it be just the nut stripped/loose?

Yes it’s a violation 393.78 but not an OOS violation.

an "E" clip may have fallen off, or broke. i have had that happen ONCE, and i made sure i got a few to keep on hand for future instances.

    E clips look like these

hardware stores, automotive stores sell either a package of all the same size, or a few of each size.

i cannot seem to paste a pic here..

could also be a nut under the arms cover that came loose. if so, carefully tighten it.

    baha Thanks this.

fullsizeoutput_1a2.jpeg Make and model would help. Some have two wiper motors depending on vintage. If not inspect your linkages from wiper motor. If truck is equipped with two wipers yes they must both operate.

Your passenger does not need to see where you are going. Tell them to lay in the bunk & shut up.

In the meantime get some Rain-X. The stuff is amazing when applied correctly and a must have emergency item if you drive a older Freightliner.
