Yes, go off duty on the days you aren't driving, and you can incorporate those days off duty onto one single page. You don't have to make a separate page for each day.

Just write on the actual log book page something like.

OFF DUTY APRIL 25, 26,27,28,29. 2012. MY CITY AND STATE

I write it nice and large through the lines 1 2 3 and 4 area. That way there is no mistaking what I was doing on those days.

I put the dates in the date spot.. 4/1-2/12
Draw a line thru off duty
In the total I would write the total hours 48 in this 2 day example.

    On the bottom
    Off Duty
    My City

Short answer is yes, if you travel out of 150 air miles you need to show every day and if you do work another job it should be shown as on duty time.

I drive a truck only about 1 day per week.

I made an excel spreadsheet, 1 page, and fill in hours worked or hours off duty for all other days. I keep it in my desk at work and just fill it in when I leave every day.

It's perfectly legal, just had DOT audit and the guy liked it.

So answer is no, you do not have to fill out a page in your log book for off days, as long as it is being recorded somewhere else.
