Still new to the concept. Never noticed a sign for that, unless it was connected to a rest area, yet everyone seems to know when to be there, so do they all double as rest areas during certain hours, when closed or what? I'd guess it's for making out of service reservations. "From Dusk Till Dawn", as it were.

Some serve as both a rest area and weigh station, parking is ok . read the signs. Some are port of entry's / weigh stations. Many do not allow parking.. Read the signs. Some entry's are blocked off some are under under construction. I don't park in any of them
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I never have nor will park at weigh stations/poe, way too many other choices. It's all good until smokey wakes ya up for a level 1 inspection.

Speaking of signs, when does the speed limit return to normal? They put just the one in there to slow down, then the other one's a mile up the road...

Good thing about parking at a weigh station is it doesn't smell like urine.

I've only parked at the 1-24 scales in Kentucky. The Maryland scales offer parking when closed. The ones at the JFK toll booths on I95 offer restroom facilities 24 hours a day.
