Hey y'all I am interested in becoming a straight truck O/O for Panther Expedited. I was wondering if any of y'all drive a straight truck for them? How many miles do you average per week? How bad is the "slow season"? Is there consistent freight? Currently I have my own authority driving a tractor trailer, but I'm just tryin to keep.my eyes open. Again thank y'all so much.

I been with Panther over 9 months now and can tell from my own personal experience they got good freight but it does it slow around winter months. There are some bad areas to stay away from like west coast like MT,SD,ND,WV,OR CA ok as long your not in San Diego area, sat in San Diego for 4 days once!!!Largo Tx also not great for Panther either if you get there middle of the week. Most freights are east cost and mid west loads to CA,AZ,NM,MT but hard to get out of.Florida is a bad spot but you can get loads out of Tampa area and Miami but not all the time.Best bet when you want home time you going have to fight for it cause there not much going into Florida but you do get lucky at times if you wait it out.As for Panther its self its just like any other big company you got your good and bad its just how the business but just don't them push you around if you know what I mean.

Hello all, sorry let me rephrase that greeting,HONK to all my fellow truckers.I'm new to this, not an o/o,just a regular Joe trying to bust in the industry.I got a class b cdl inquired and completed application process for panther.2 days ago recruiter told me I was approved and he would find me a company that would take me on.I got about a year of para transit experience in NYC driving a cargo van.Still no call back from recruiter,is this normal. Thanks in advance.

You need to keep on top on them cause they got tons of other drivers they deal with.If your all ready approved go to expeditersonline.com and place an ad up,that's the best place to find a driving job in expedited.
