I just had this happen to my paccar 579 2015 Pete. My mileage was 489K. I lost power and then had no steering. I was out in east Texas so didn’t have many options for a shop however found a good one to my luck. Blown air compressor and power steering pump.

Could this cause high oil temps as well?
-
What is your oil temp and coolant temp?

Did you just replace air compressor and steering pump and be done? Mine did that and they are wanting to replace oil cooler and other stuff.
-
What did the bearing look like? If it isn't completely fubared I don't pull oil module. Probably done four of them by now on EPA 13's.

They are pulling the compressor now to check that area.

They said it was missing some of the ball bearings and couldn’t find them in the pan. I’m thinking they are still in the compressor.
spsauerland and Goodysnap Thank this. -
Flint1 and BoxCarKidd Thank this.

Another one bites the dust. All 8 ball bearings there, cage not so much. Symptom was making P/S fluid. I lucked out of this one, doing injectors instead. -
I want one…..
