Any other flatbedders pick up there before?? I got this load from a broker Thursday and I agree to do it and then he sends me the driver instructions which states I must have 24 edge protectors at least 10 inch long each. Which is ok I believe I have that. If you smoke tarp it.... can it be a regular tarp because I don’t carry a smoke tarp......? I’ve been calling but get no answer....

Yes i have you pull inside to tarp if loaded outside. Do not arrive before 15 min. Appointment time . They give detailedloading instructions and check the load before you are given paperwork
nikmirbre Thanks this. -
Can I use a regular tarp?
And any special instructions on the edge protectors? -
Almost have to go inside to tarp it I think. They are very pointed about not throwing straps over top. I pulled van from there, but I remember all the signs on how they want it secured on flatbed loads.

Not throwing straps over top? Do they mean throwing the metal part over? How else could you secure it
???
-
Yes you can use a regular tarp not allowed to throw the metal end
nikmirbre Thanks this. -
What about the edge protectors??
-
You must use edge protection they use to have cardboard ones there
nikmirbre Thanks this. -
Owens Corning PREFERS the long plastic v-board type edge protection, but you can get away with longer cardboard edge protection.
Are you getting shingles or foam board insulation? With a smoke tarp, it sounds like insulation. Be VERY CAREFUL in tightening your straps! I don't drag that stuff because I can't tighten my straps enough to feel secure.
A regular lumber tarp on the front will serve as a smoke tarp. Just a pain to break out that big a tarp, is all. -
Tallmage oh is the pink insulation board
