So i've been driving for awhile and call me crazy, but I am interested in driving overseas. I'd be down with going for a couple or even few years. And without stating my past, I am very very well aware of the risks.
How does one look into doing this? A few internet searches over the last couple days haven't turned up much, I know they are in demand due to a high turn over. I am over the road right now.
Any information would be greatly valued.

New Zealand is the only place I can think of where the people aren't eaten up with political correctness.

You aren't going to get hired there unless you have a military MOS that they want or you have former LOGCAP experience.
You have to do extensive physicals for government contract jobs, include ECG if you're over 40 and have a BMI of 39 or less.
You have to have at least six months remaining on your passport before it expires and at least ten blank pages.FullMetalJacket and Chinatown Thank this. -
People talk about driving trucks in Australia. I've worked with Australian truck drivers. They say it doesn't pay. They have as many foreigners as we do. Aborigines and foreigners do it for less. Most overseas jobs don't pay, especially if you're just a truck driver. They can get locals to drive for pennies.
Your best bet is to hire an with an American company that wants American drivers for some reason. It might not pay a lot but the first $96,000 is tax free if you work overseas and stay out of the country for 330 days. Making $75,000 overseas is still more than making $75,000 in the states,if food and housing is provided. -
And there are no risk. There is more danger in Memphis or Chicago. Witch is why the pay is lower. -
