I thought it would be interesting to have a thread to post our yearly results so we can compare them. Now I know truck drivers are prone to exaggeration. “ Hence, I stay out three months at a time and only take a day off.” so let’s keep the statistics REAL…We post here factual, so we can compare them to each other. I’ll start with mine.

    for year 2023:
    I drive reefer exclusively
    1. Total pay, including cents per mile, bonuses, holiday pay, per diem, pay, :$93,655
    2. Miles driven: 124,847
    3. Days off NOT including vacation days aka home time, actual days at home, not resets etc out on the road: 56
    4. Vacation days taken: 0
    5. Holidays off: 0 (worked them all)
    6. Benefits utilized: 0
let’s see how we all compare to each other. I’m curious about how many days off of home time you guys are getting and things like this.

Well looking to compare things based on stats, like hometime, vacation taken, miles driven. Just a way to compare. For me I’m curious as to what others are getting in hometime annually.

wasn’t looking to “brag” honestly, I would rather have had quite a bit more home time and made less. That’s what I’m aiming for in the year going forward.

Translation, “I took half the year off” lol
Not sure if you were aware of this, but they make a thing called a coffee maker and you can have coffee at home on home time.

I take 3 days after being out for 4-5 weeks.
It isn't what I am 'given', it is what I choose to take.

Many other drivers at my terminal take home time much more often, but I'm not sure how many days they take or how long they work between times.
I just know that I am always asked about when my next home time will be. I came back from home time less than a week ago and my DM is already asking when I will be taking my next one.

It seems it is common for many drivers to get home after about 2 weeks or so, and I doubt it is for a short 34 reset.

Thanks for sharing some very important data and statistics with the public, this will be handy information for those who are considering going independent. Just wished you got to enjoy some holidays ( vacation) time. It is important just to be able to chill out and have some time away from the job.
