Does anyone know of any chauffeur license jobs that offer OTR? I’m struggling trying to find them and thought by posting here someone might be able to guide me in the right direction. Im currently studying for my CDL but in the mean time doing this to keep a check coming
I received a call from a recruiter from transportation relocation service out of Mesa. AZ (TRS) and the job is a 1099 position I have to pay for gas, tolls, hotels, food, etc and at times rent a car to get to my next destination. Seems like a major scam. What are your thoughts with everything? Thanks. I live in Detroit

Why not just get a CDL-A and then work for decent money. Plenty of good jobs for Detroit drivers.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Contact staffing services and tell them what you want.
Trillium Staffing
Crown Staffing Solutions
Many drivers run all over the country in cargo vans and small box trucks that don't require a cdl.
I know of one in Florida, but you'll have to search in Michigan. Staffing services are probably your best bet. -
Thank you again for this post and your previous post about J and M

There are no OTR jobs with that license.
You have to get a CDL.
The chauffeurs license WAS Michigan's CDL at one time, and they kept it to make money off of people - the test, the endorsement and the renewal all make money for them. -
To add to @Ridgeline .
A chauffeur license in MI is required for anyone making money with their license. Someone delivering pizza to the gravel train driver. It's just an extra money grab.
The op just has a regular 4 wheel license.FlaSwampRat and Newtrucker2019 Thank this. -
Newtrucker2019 and ZVar Thank this.
