Growing up in the Midwest, I had no idea of these products until I moved down South, back in the late 80's.

I love'm, what a great way to ingest acetylsalicylic acid!

lol! I bet the Pettys are eating a bunch of them these days.
The race team may not be back next year...

I worked for them for a couple years doing PR and sponsor relations.
Great bunch of folks and Old Richard is a good guy.

Too bad things are going down hill for them.:biggrin_25513:
Since they lost General Mills and Dodge they have been having a hard time.

    (sorry,off topic)

A little piece of advice if you use them which I do because there is nothing better to kill pain or a headache.

Anyway DO NOT leave an open pack of Goody's in your truck or spill any in the truck. If you get pulled into a scale or pulled over and get some gun hoe DOT cop you could be in for a long day! Good luck convincing them it's headache powder and not cocaine. :biggrin_25513::biggrin_25510:

This is not a knock on Goody's as it is a good product. I just want to point out that you can get the same relief- and at a huge cost savings (I am a tightwad) - provided by Goodys and BC powders, by just chewing or crushing up regular aspirin and acetaminophen (tylenol) and taking that. The caffeine in Goody's is there to dilate your arteries allowing the aspirin/tylenol absorption to be a little quicker. On a side note, many headaches are caused by caffeine withdrawal, so if you drink a lot of coffee or the "liquid of the God's" in the South...aka...Mountain Dew, and do not have any for a day, you can get a bad headache due to caffeine withdrawal and vascular constriction. Yes, in as little as 24 hours. BTW, how much do Goody's powders cost now?

This is not a paid advertisement for The Tightwad Gazette
