does anyone have any information on Pacific shipping? I have seen 1 post on here regarding them that was very negative anyway I'm starting orientation with Them on Monday. they do dedicated routes. I would be picking up containers of beef and taking them to the ports in LA and Oakland. The pay is 33 cents per mile with a minimum 3,200 miles per week and I would also get 5 days off per diem at 52 dollars a day. I would take my 34 hour reset at home here in Fountain Colorado and then I would go out again each week. Does anyone have any useful information on this company. Thanks in advance.

It's been many years since I ran the ports, but the thing I remember most was how long it used to take to get in and out with containers. There was almost always something wrong with the outbound container, and it sometimes took hours to get them fixed.
If it's still that way, I don't see you getting anywhere near 3200 miles per week. And then add traffic problems to the mix. Hopefully it will work out good for you. Good luck with your new job.

Well I'm hoping everything will be good with this company. I only go into the port once per week on Monday morning. I think I pick up loaded container by repower somewhere in texas. Then be waiting at Port when they reopen Monday morning. Waste most of Monday doing that then pickup back haul and head back.
