First day of orienatation drove my personal car being as tho i live a 1hr and half away but if ur from another state they rent u a rental car also riemburst u for gas on the way home(gas voucher) Bowman owns his own gas station and everything else in the area...
Monday:6:45am road test(45min) with a trainer to see if ur worth the training. and then its off to the mediacal lab for ur D.O.T physical and agility test n they do make sure ur fit for the job the agility test was more like a workout lol. then got back around 1pm they had pizza waiting for us then it was off to the hotel there going to say ur stayin at the clarion inn but ur actually going to be staying a t a hotel express attached to clarion its not the marriot but it was somewhat decent n yes u will be sharing rooms unless u pay $20.00 a night for ur own room they serve u free continental breakfast -
Tuesady: 6:45am man this was a long day paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork, They did order us chinese food for lunch but it was basiocally paperwork and learning the employee manual today and watched a few videos..

Wesneday: 6:45 am I did forget to mention do not be late or thats ur ##### but weseneday was paperwork and videos about saftey, smith systems and etc.
and boy let me tell u these Bowman guys will talk ur head off but i do like the office ppl they are really nice also the CEO of the company came in and talk to us for a while and u do get 10min breaks along the day

Thursday: was a pretty laid back day more of th eupper chain guys came in to talk then it was off to see the williamsport terminal talk to office staff training people the girls in log book auditnig and the mechanic..
i never see a person fall to sleep while standiong up in 35dergree whether lol. but naw the guy was just doing his job showing us proper pre trips and saftiness of the truck and i forgot to mention those brand new Volvos drive like a dream hopefully i can get a new once im on my own since Bowman is ordering 3 a week but i thibnk they are for the seniors guys well thats it so far hopefully i can keep u all updated n everything hope its all positive

Talk to my trainer on friday looks like i will be going back out on monday Bowman do get u home 98% of the time on weekends orienataion pay is $200.00 and traning pay is $400.00 a week for 4-6 weeks they start u off at 33cpm with weekly bonuses like driving under 63mph low idling percentage and being on time they also gurantee u a $1000.00 a week if u have ur hazmat ends. passport, and twic card.

Good job C-City! I was thinkin about doin this too, but you beat me to it! I gotta say, I'm new to trucking, but far from new to work, corporations or recruiters, and my gut honestly says this will be a good gig.
Do they have you starting training with short-haul? That's where I'll be the first two weeks, with José. At 0130 Monday.

Keep us posted. When I talked with Bowman about two years ago they said they didnt hire Baltimore guys as they couldnt get to work on time. I'll never forget that comment.
